“The European Commission on Thursday published an urban water atlas for Europe during a meeting of ministers in charge of water management from the 43 members of the Union for the Mediterranean in Valetta. This tool is the first of its kind and provides information about water management in European cities. It shows how different water management choices, waste management and climate change would affect the long-term sustainability of water use in cities.
The atlas aims to encourage European citizens to take an interest and get involved in water issues, according to the Commission.”
