Fenton process for contaminant control; investigation of OH radical formation with two water types

Rapporten

The advanced oxidation processes (AOP) are a technology which is applied to the drinking
water treatment practice. One of these techniques is Fenton oxidation process using
combination of hydrogen peroxide and ferrous iron to produce OH radicals which can oxidize
organic compounds.
The Fenton process can be an effective way of water treatment, to remove micropollutants
without bromate formation and with respect to the costs. So this investigation is about the
possibilities of the Fenton process as AOP on some selected waters.
